Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi, Lucca, Pisa, San Remo, Monte Carlo, Portofino, Cinque Terre, Rapallo.
These are just some of the places we plan to visit. We’ll stay in splendid hotels, spending two nights in each.
Accommodation:
- Viareggio – Grand Hotel Royal Viareggio **** https://www.hotelroyalviareggio.it
- Sanremo – Royal Hotel Sanremo ***** https://www.royalhotelsanremo.com
- Rapallo – Grand Hotel Bristol Rapallo ***** https://www.grandhotelbristol.it
Our journey will traditionally begin in Bergamo, where cars will optionally be delivered. You can also travel there independently and meet the rest of the group in Viareggio by the sea. There is also the option to rent a sports car from the P1 Cortina Exotics club fleet, which is housed in the club garage in Cortina d’Ampezzo. In that case, we recommend flying to Venice. However, most of us will choose to have the car transported to Bergamo and fly to BGY airport, which is well connected to most airports.
Day 1: Arrival in Bergamo
Pick up the cars and drive to Viareggio – 300km.
We’ll arrive at the Tuscan coast, in the vacation region of Versilia near Pisa, in the province of Lucca.
We’ll stay for two nights at the Grand Hotel Royal Viareggio https://www.hotelroyalviareggio.it
The event will officially start with a group dinner.
Day 2:
Departure on James Bond’s route from the movie Quantum of Solace. Here’s the scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8NxDkBmJn8. The SP13 road leads to the Passo del Vestito pass. We will pass the Carrara quarries, famous worldwide for the best marble.
We’ll stop for lunch near the postcard-worthy Devil’s Bridge – Ponte del Diavolo.
Next, we’ll arrive in a beautiful town, which we will explore with a Polish guide, Ewa.
Ewa has previously guided us through the town of Volterra in Tuscany. We’ll also visit Pisa and its famous Leaning Tower.
Dinner at the Grand Royal Hotel with a dance party featuring Italo Disco rhythms.
Day 3:
We leave the Tuscan coast and enter Liguria. Before passing Genoa, we will visit the romantic towns of Camogli and Bogliasco.
Next, we’ll take the Autostrada dei Fiori (Highway of Flowers), which runs along the coast to the French border.
We’ll stay at the wonderful and trusted Royal Hotel Sanremo *****L https://www.royalhotelsanremo.com
Group dinner in Sanremo.
Day 4:
A day in Monaco
Visit to Monte Carlo, with an optional drive along the famous stretch of the Monte Carlo Rally – Col de Turini.
Group dinner in Sanremo.
Day 5:
A day in Portofino
This picturesque town is located next to the resort of Rapallo, where we’ll stay for the next two nights.
We arrive at our Grand Hotel Bristol Rapallo ***** https://www.grandhotelbristol.it
After visiting the GHB hotel in February, we decided to upgrade the room standards to Deluxe with a central sea view.
There is also the option to upgrade your room individually, which we’ll discuss further below.
We’ll leave the cars at the hotel and head to Portofino, where we’ll spend the rest of the day until evening.
Dinner at our hotel’s restaurant, La Veranda.
It will be a buffet combined with a grill, featuring dishes from all the regions of Italy that we’ll visit during this event. Specialties from Lombardy, Tuscany (Florentine steak), and Liguria.
Day 6:
A day in Cinque Terre
We’ll visit this magical national park with five stunningly picturesque villages.
Cinque Terre consists of 5 villages, formerly fishing villages: Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. We have several options for participants to explore Cinque Terre. You can get there by train (cars are not allowed in the area), or by boat. We’ll also offer the option of renting a luxurious and iconic RIVA motorboat for those interested.
We’ll have lunch at one of the finest Ligurian restaurants, Belforte, in the town of Vernazza.
Vernazza is perhaps the most beautiful of the five Cinque Terre towns. It’s a great place to spend more time, even at the expense of visiting all five villages.
But those who wish can visit all the wonderful towns. Return to Grand Hotel Bristol Rapallo, where we’ll have dinner at the rooftop restaurant, Le Cupole.
This is an oasis of fine dining, recommended by the Michelin Guide. A tasting menu will be offered for selection before our event.
Day 7:
Departure to Bergamo
Loading the cars and returning to Poland.
Those with late flights can visit the exceptional Serravalle Designer Outlet, located along our route.
Boutiques of the biggest brands, with goods at very attractive prices, will delight shopping enthusiasts.
